Abstract

To analyse the neuroplastic benefits of music for regulating depressive and anxious symptoms in adults. The studies occured in Brazil, USA, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Sweden, South Africa and Nigeria, between the years of 2017 and 2022. There was found evidence of neuroplastic action in the regulation of depressive and anxious symptoms. There was observed a correlation between music and neuroplastic regulation. Evidence pointed that music has positive effects in regulating depressive and anxious symptoms. Most studies show a correlation between neuroplasticity, music and the regulation of depressive and anxious symptoms, indicating the possibility of music therapy as a complementary treatment for those disorders.
