Abstract

Brazilian education establishes legislation and curricular guidelines that prioritize a proposal for integral human formation, especially in high school. However, for this reality to be realized, teachers at this stage of basic education have a fundamental role, as they can use their freedom of action to insert content into students' daily lives that are fundamental for civic, critical and reflective. In this sense, it is based on the premise that secondary education, when integrated with professional and technological education, must be especially concerned with future work relationships that will arise from the knowledge acquired in it, consequently, the study of labor law proves to be fundamental. To this end, this study was carried out based on bibliographical reviews, which were based on current legislation, as well as through the reflections of researchers such as Marise Ramos, Dante Moura, Arnaldo Antunes, Kuenzer and Saviani. Finally, it is concluded that the Integrated High School teacher must develop in his students a critical look at the relationship involving capital and work, as well as reflect on the scenario of precariousness and flexibility that involves workers. It should be noted that this teaching activity on legal-labor knowledge is based on the curricular freedom guaranteed by the BNCC itself, as long as it is transversal and integrative. Therefore, it is believed that legal-labor education can be a tool capable of helping teachers achieve the previously mentioned objectives, especially in the context of Integrated High School, the last stage of preparation to enter the world of work.
