Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate the importance of games and literature for building healthy eating habits in the context of Early Childhood Education. It is believed that the lack of clarity about how to work with food contributes to mistaken practices that value food only as part of the supply of a child's biological needs. Bibliographic in nature and based on Historical-Cultural Theory, it is intended to contribute to expanding the debate on food as an essential element in children's learning and development, as long as it is taught intentionally, through pleasurable activities, promoting taste and the habit of eating healthy from a young age.
