Abstract

This article aims to present education as a form of resistance to necropolitics. Therefore, we seek to expose the concept of necropolitics in the oeuvre of Achille Mbembe, as well as its operating engine, racism. Afterwards, we investigate how the Cameroonian author himself combines Frantz Fanon's thought with a critique of western universalism to arrive at the notion of a world's disclosure, which can be conceived as a counterpoint to necropolitics. Finally, we will make an approximation of the declosion of Mbembe with the philosophy of Paulo Freire (especially with his notion of untested feasibility), in order to think about the capacity of education to disclode the world and, with that, resist the necropolitics in progress.
