PERCEPÇÃO DOS ESTUDANTES SOBRE A MONITORIA NO PROCESSO DE APRENDIZAGEM: UM ESTUDO NO CURSO DE CIÊNCIAS CONTÁBEIS

Abstract

Accounting as a science started to be taught initially at the technical level and later in higher education courses. In this context of learning, due to the common cooperation between students, it may be easier, in certain cases, to clear doubts with a colleague than with the teacher. Thus, monitoring appears as a program that facilitates this interaction. However, it is necessary to understand whether the monitoring program provides an improvement in the learning process in the students' perception. This study sought to verify the perception of students about monitoring and its relevance in the learning process, in the Accounting Sciences course, at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), Itabaiana Campus. A descriptive research with a quantitative approach was carried out, through the application of a questionnaire in the chosen educational institution. Through this study it was possible to perceive that the students consider the monitoring an important tool in the academic life, having as main objective to improve the comprehension of the subject, mainly when the discipline is more difficult and / or when it is time of tests. However, the number of frequent participants is low, this is due to incompatible schedules and commuting between cities. However, students realize that the relationship between monitor and monitor provides an important interpersonal development for both.
