Abstract

This investigation aims to understand the reading practices implemented by CEEI-UEL teachers in times of pandemic and post-pandemic, to identify successful actions and setbacks with a view to training readers. This is bibliographical, documentary and field research, with qualitative analysis of data collected through interviews, using Historical-Cultural Theory as its analytical premise. The following practices developed during the remote period were identified: use of Google Meet, YouTube and WhatsApp with family support and the offer of PDF books. In relation to the post-pandemic period: shared reading, storytelling and conversation circles. The practices contributed to the reader’s formation process; however, the challenges posed by the pandemic must be investigated, as the impacts were profound, and the data was incipient.
