Abstract

Permanent Health Education suggests valuing the education that occurs in everyday services, based on learning based on collective discussions. This article aims to report the experience of creating and implementing Permanent Education Centers in a hospital complex in Southern Brazil. The idea came from the need to update and train the Nursing Team, during the Covid-19 pandemic period, in an Intensive Care Unit, using access to social media as an educational strategy. After the creation of the first Education Center in the ICU, due to strong adherence to this methodology, the strategy was adopted by other services and hospitals. The new work and education configurations require reflection on how useful social networks can be for the necessary changes that qualify work and health care.
