Abstract

The present text had as its problem: what are the conceptions of reading among Early Childhood Education teachers in the state of Paraná and how do they guide their pedagogical practices? And as a general objective, to analyze the conceptions of reading among Early Childhood Education teachers in the state of Paraná and how they guide their pedagogical practices. The theoretical framework was constituted by Historical and Dialectical Materialist epistemology and the Historical-Cultural Theory. In the methodology, we used a sociodemographic questionnaire to outline the profile of the subjects and a questionnaire about the teachers' pedagogical practices with reading during and after the pandemic. From this instrument, we carried out the data analysis. As results, we found that teachers have been providing students with access to elaborated culture.
