O empoderamento de mulheres e o Programa Bolsa Família: um recorte analítico em Minas Gerais

Esta pesquisa objetivou analisar o impacto do Programa Bolsa Família (PBF) no empoderamento das mulheres beneficiárias e, consequentemente, na condição de desigualdade de gênero. Tratou-se de uma pesquisa com abordagem quantitativa, baseada na criação e validação de constructos, tendo como referência 11 municípios do estado de Minas Gerais e uma amostra de 255 beneficiárias. O sujeito mulher foi o centro da investigação. As políticas públicas de transferência de renda e o empoderamento das mulheres constituíram o principal aporte bibliográfico. Dentre os principais resultados, destaca-se que as mulheres estão inseridas num processo positivo, embora incipiente, de empoderamento e que o Programa estimula a circulação de representações sociais segundo as quais as mulheres continuam restritas ao espaço e afazeres domésticos perpetuando funções e papéis demandados ao sexo feminino, ou seja, constructos sociais de gênero.
