Coleta seletiva de resíduos em prédios residenciais: relato dum experimento que dimensiona o desafio de atender às modestas expectativas da administração municipal

O experimento objetivou implantar a coleta seletiva num edifício residencial no contexto das instruções de separação e das operações de logística reversa disponibilizadas pela administração municipal. O trabalho dimensionou o desafio referente à separação na fonte, à infraestrutura de coleta e ao escoamento do material. A separação e a infraestrutura são problemas internos que foram resolvidos com métodos da gestão de pessoas. O escoamento é um problema externo. O estudo identificou a relação entre os dois tipos de problema. O objetivo se considerou alcançado quando a separação atendeu às instruções e à logística reversa da administração municipal. Isto significa coleta seletiva de aproximadamente 14% dos rejeitos domiciliares.
