Desempenho produtivo dos agronegócios da formação sócio-espacial do sul catarinense (2003-2016)

Os agronegócios do sul catarinense representam 12,6% do Valor Adicionado Bruto total da agropecuária catarinense, com participação significativa na produção de arroz (61,1%), no processamento da mandioca (31,1%), de fumo (18,3%), de bovinos (13,1%), de frango (12,2%) e de suínos (6,4%). Desvendar o desempenho produtivo desses agronegócios na dinâmica urbana da formação sócio-espacial do Sul do estado de Santa Catarina pós-2003 é o objetivo deste artigo. Para tanto, trabalhou-se com informações como área plantada, valor bruto da produção, produtividade e participação na pauta exportadora catarinense. Esse desempenho veio acompanhado de alterações significativas nas estruturas produtivas rurais, indicando um processo de expansão, concentração e dispersão da produção, que por sua vez, teve efeito direto na estrutura urbana no que diz respeito à questão geoeconômica.
