Ressurge a Democracia? A influência da mídia no processo político brasileiro

O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar os discursos institucionais do Grupo Globo e suas conexões com a dinâmica social e com os contextos políticos em dois períodos distintos. Para isso, por meio das contribuições da Análise do Discurso, com base em Fairclough, se realizou a análise de dois editoriais da emissora, um de apoio ao regime militar brasileiro (1964) e outro de retratação a esse apoio (2013). A primeira categoria de análise expôs a tentativa de aproximação da instituição com seu público, visando se legitimar como representante da opinião pública. A segunda categoria demonstrou que a instituição se amparou em questões históricas para justificar seu posicionamento. A terceira categoria de análise evidenciou os riscos de uma mídia hegemônica apresentar um discurso parcial e tendencioso. Notou-se o uso de estratégias discursivas semelhantes em contextos políticos atuais. Desse modo, reflete-se sobre a possibilidade de reincidência dos fatos, de forma que sem regulação efetiva do setor, há riscos de continuidade da interferência política de grandes conglomerados midiáticos nas instituições democráticas brasileiras.Downloads
